Terms & Conditions – JUCE’s 3rd Birthday Campaign & Scratch-Card Promotion

1. Definitions & Interpretation

"Campaign": Refers to the JUCE 3rd Birthday scratch-card promotion running online and at specific physical retail locations.

"Promoter": Juce Fragrances (Pty) Ltd.

"Participant": Any individual entering the scratch-card promotion, whether in-store or online, who agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

"Scratch Card": The digital promotional game accessed via QR code or directly on the Promoter's website, awarding prizes by chance through a randomized algorithm.

"Participating Branches": Specifically refers to the following We Are EGG locations: Rosebank, Gateway, V&A Waterfront, and Cavendish.

"Free Fragrance Prize": Refers to the number of standard 50ml JUCE fragrances stated on the winning Scratch Card, selected by the winner from eligible fragrances available through the applicable redemption channel at the time of redemption. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the prize excludes gift sets, discovery sets, accessories, limited editions and JUCE Privé fragrances. If a selected fragrance is unavailable, JUCE may offer another eligible fragrance of equal or greater retail value.

2. Participation & Eligibility

The promotion is open to South African residents aged 18 or older.

No purchase is necessary to enter or play the game.

A Participant may enter and play only once during the entire Campaign. Each email address and mobile number may be used for one entry only. The use of multiple contact details, another person’s details, duplicate accounts or automated methods to obtain additional entries is prohibited.

Employees, directors, members, partners, consultants, and agents of Juce Fragrances (Pty) Ltd, We Are EGG, and their immediate family members, as well as suppliers of goods or services in connection with this competition, are legally excluded from participation.

By entering the Campaign and playing the game, you agree to be bound by these promotional rules, the JUCE Terms of Service and the JUCE Privacy Policy, and you provide the marketing consent described in clause 9. Marketing consent is a condition of entry.

3. Promotion Schedule

The Campaign runs strictly from 11:00 AM (SAST) on 24 July 2026 until 23:59 (SAST) on 17 August 2026.

All revealed prizes and generated discount codes must be redeemed and, where checkout is required, successfully checked out by 23:59 (SAST) on 17 August 2026. The Campaign and all redemption opportunities end at that time, after which unredeemed prizes and codes expire and are forfeited.

4. How to Play

Online: Visit juce.co.za. Open the scratch card prompt. Enter your name, email, and phone number to unlock the card and keep the game fair. Choose one of three cards and scratch on your device to reveal a prize. Use your unique code at checkout.

In-Store: Visit a Participating Branch. Scan the JUCE QR code using your smartphone. Enter your name, email, and phone number to unlock the card. Choose one of three cards and scratch on your device to reveal a prize. Show your live screen to the store team to claim.

5. Prize Structure, Odds & Allocation

Up to 5,000 prizes and promotional offers are available and will be allocated by an automated randomized algorithm. Every valid entry completed while the applicable prize pool remains available will reveal one of the listed prizes or promotional offers. Certain sample offers require a qualifying purchase, as stated in these rules and on the revealed Scratch Card.

Online: 1,000 prizes available exclusively via juce.co.za.

In-Store: Up to 4,000 prizes are available across the Participating Branches as a combined in-store pool. JUCE may dynamically allocate or transfer available in-store prizes between Participating Branches based on participation levels, available stock, time, date and operational requirements. No Participating Branch is guaranteed a fixed number or mix of prizes.

5.1 In-Store Scratch Cards (Combined In-Store Allocation)

Note: The table below represents the overall allocation and indicative odds across the combined pool of up to 4,000 in-store prizes. Prize availability and the mix presented at a particular Participating Branch may vary dynamically. The algorithm must not alter the result of an entry after the Participant has begun a valid play.

5.2 Online Scratch Cards (Website Allocation)

6. Prize Redemption & Conditions

Location Limits: Online codes are strictly for use on juce.co.za. In-store codes are valid only through the in-store campaign and must ordinarily be redeemed at the Participating Branch where the QR code was scanned. JUCE or We Are EGG may permit redemption at another Participating Branch where reasonably necessary because of stock availability or an operational issue. Online and in-store codes cannot be exchanged or transferred between channels.

Single Use and Eligible Products: Each prize or code may be used once only and may not be combined with another promotion, affiliate link, discount code or offer. Unless the revealed Scratch Card states otherwise, percentage discounts apply to eligible full-price JUCE products in one transaction and exclude delivery charges, gift cards, discovery sets, gift sets, already-discounted products and expressly excluded ranges. Rand-value discounts apply to eligible merchandise only and not to delivery charges.

No Cash Value: Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or store credit. This does not limit any statutory remedy that applies to goods supplied as a prize or purchased using a promotional discount.

Shipping: Online prizes and promotional discounts do not include courier charges unless expressly stated. JUCE’s standard delivery charge will be displayed before checkout. Free shipping applies only where the final merchandise subtotal meets the free-shipping threshold after all discounts. A winner whose merchandise subtotal is zero remains responsible for the displayed delivery charge unless a collection option or free delivery is expressly offered.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Statutory Rights

Returns Policies: Online purchases made on juce.co.za using a Campaign discount remain subject to JUCE’s then-current online Returns Policy, which ordinarily permits eligible returns within 30 days, together with all applicable statutory rights. Purchases made at a Participating Branch are subject to We Are EGG’s applicable returns policy and must ordinarily be handled through that retailer. A retailer policy does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

JUCE Programme Exclusion: Campaign purchases may be excluded from any additional discretionary JUCE “Hassle-Free Exchange” benefit to the extent stated in JUCE’s Returns Policy, but this exclusion does not remove the ordinary 30-day online returns policy described above or any statutory right.

Defective Goods (CPA): Nothing in these rules limits sections 55 and 56 of the CPA. Where qualifying goods are unsafe, defective, of poor quality or not fit for their intended purpose within six months after delivery, the consumer may return them without penalty and at the supplier’s risk and expense and may elect a repair, replacement or refund, subject to the CPA and excluding damage caused by misuse, abuse or unauthorised alteration.

Cooling-Off Period (ECTA): Where section 44 of ECTA applies to an online transaction, the consumer may cancel an eligible purchase without reason or penalty within seven days after receiving the goods. The consumer bears the direct cost of returning the goods, and JUCE will process the refund within the period required by law. This right remains subject to the exclusions in section 42 of ECTA and does not require JUCE to accept goods that, by their nature or condition, cannot lawfully or reasonably be returned.

8. Right to Modify & Stop Discounts

JUCE may dynamically allocate available in-store prizes between Participating Branches in accordance with clause 5 and may suspend, postpone, amend or terminate the Campaign where stock availability, fraud, a technical failure, legal requirements or circumstances beyond JUCE’s reasonable control make this reasonably necessary. JUCE will not retrospectively reduce or invalidate a prize already revealed to a valid Participant. Any material change will be communicated on juce.co.za and, where reasonably practicable, through the channels used to advertise the Campaign. Where an advertised prize cannot reasonably be supplied, JUCE may substitute a prize of equal or greater retail value.

9. Data Privacy & Marketing Consent (POPIA)

To enter the Campaign, a Participant must provide their name, email address and mobile number and consent to receiving direct marketing from Juce Fragrances (Pty) Ltd regarding JUCE products, launches, promotions and offers by email and SMS. Marketing consent is a condition of entry and must be given through a clear, unticked consent control on the entry screen. JUCE will also process the information to administer the Campaign, verify eligibility, prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries, allocate and redeem prizes, respond to queries and comply with applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations. A Participant may unsubscribe or withdraw marketing consent at any time. Withdrawal will stop future direct marketing but will not invalidate a valid entry or prize already awarded. JUCE may retain and process information reasonably required to administer the Campaign, prevent fraud, comply with law and defend legal claims. Personal information will be processed in accordance with POPIA and the JUCE Privacy Policy and will not be sold to third parties.

10. General Conditions

Fraud: Providing false details, playing from multiple accounts, or using automated systems to farm discounts will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of all prizes.

Technical Disclaimer: To the extent permitted by law, JUCE and We Are EGG are not responsible for an entry that is lost, delayed or incomplete because of a network interruption, loadshedding, device failure or another event outside their reasonable control. Where JUCE’s system records that a valid Participant revealed a prize before a technical interruption, JUCE may use the system record to verify and, where appropriate, honour the prize. An abandoned cart or failure to complete redemption before the deadline does not extend the Campaign. Nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing Law, Forum and Liability: These rules are governed by South African law. Subject to any mandatory consumer right to approach another competent forum, the Participant and JUCE consent to the jurisdiction of a competent Magistrates’ Court in Cape Town, notwithstanding that a claim might otherwise exceed that court’s ordinary monetary jurisdiction. Nothing prevents a Participant from approaching the National Consumer Commission, Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, Information Regulator, National Consumer Tribunal or another body or court having jurisdiction. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JUCE’s aggregate liability arising solely from the administration of the Campaign or failure to provide a promotional prize is limited to the normal retail value of the highest-value prize the affected Participant could validly have received. This limitation does not apply to fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, bodily injury, unlawful processing of personal information, statutory product liability or any liability that may not lawfully be limited.
